Armstrong Mobile Vets is a unique veterinary service in the Berkeley Vale area, offering individual personal care for your pet, in your own home.

The veterinary surgeon offering this service is Ernest Armstrong BVSc (Hons) MRCVS.

Ernest has worked as a vet since qualifying from Liverpool University in 1989. He has worked in a wholly pet environment for the past 10 years and has a wealth of experience and expertise in this field.

We prefer to use a vet who will visit an unwell pet at Hydegate and we have found this much less stressful for the animals in our care. However, the option is available, on arrival, to stipulate your own vet, if you prefer.

Ernest is so impressed by what he has seen of Hydegate Pet Resort that he recommends us to all his customers and he boards his own animals with us.

Rowe Veterinary Group

Rowe Veterinary Group covers Bristol and South Gloucestershire. The Veterinary Team consists of 22 Veterinary surgeons with a wide range of skills and interests. The practice has expanded over the years and now has four branches. The Rowe Veterinary Hospital at Bradley Stoke and at Wotton Under Edge, Thornbury Veterinary Surgery and Yate Veterinary Surgery.

Vale Vets our impressed with the professional and friendly sevice offered by the Hydegate team and knows it is a popular choice with many of their clients. The team pride themselves in their level of care and are keen to tailor the activities and accommodation to suit your pet’s needs. They offer a range of services such as grooming and additional activities for more active pets. Staff are all NVQ qualified in animal care and are keen to give your pet the loving care they deserve whilst away from home.’

Pet Care Trust

The Pet Care Trust is a national charity that promotes the benefits of responsible pet ownership and pet care education and training. The Trust has around 1,550 members, overwhelmingly small and medium enterprises including pet shops, groomers, kennels, catteries, manufacturers, wholesalers and colleges. Naturally, we are a member.

Committed to animal welfare, the Pet Care Trust has developed over many years a number of charters representing best practice for the different sectors of the pet trade. These include the Pet Care Charter, a code of conduct which is the foundation for the Government's Model Licence Conditions.

Progressive and pro-active, the Pet Care Trust works continuously to improve the standards of pet keeping by promoting responsible pet ownership, at the same time raising awareness of the benefits of keeping pets, through an ongoing and extensive information programme.

The primary objective of the Kennel Club is to promote in every way, the general improvement of dogs. The Kennel Club was founded in 1873 and is able to offer dog owners an unparalleled source of information, experience and advice on dog welfare, dog health, dog training and dog breeding.
