Dogs holidays

Every dog is different; therefore every dog has different needs. At Hydegate Pet Resort you can design your dog's holiday around your own dog - and choose from our Standard, Family Unit, Premier or Luxury accommodation.

Taking the dogs for a walk from the Premier accommodation

Standard care

We provide a standard of care second to none, backed by our Guarantee of Care. Your dog's standard day care will include:

A short walk on our paddock or run in our 'off the lead' enclosures.
Warm synthetic sheepskin bedding inside their beds.
Two meals per day.
A daily 14-point health care check which includes:
- Daily monitoring of weight.
- 5 minutes grooming.

Part of the health check we perform every day

Our daily health care checks are carried out by our trained staff for several reasons:

Daily checks of eyes, ears, paws, teeth etc ensures that your dog stays in tip top condition and any health concerns can be immediately dealt with.
Daily monitoring of weight ensures that your dog is not gaining or losing too much weight. If we spot that this is happening to your dog, we will adjust his diet accordingly.
5 minutes daily grooming ensures you dogs coat is kept in the condition you are used to. If your dog has a long coat he may require additional grooming sessions.
But most of all its FUN! Your dog will enjoy his exciting one to one experiences. It stimulates his brain, keeps him healthy and gives him the cuddles and fuss he deserves! When you come to pick your dog up from his holiday we will talk to you about the health care checks and inform you of anything we have noticed or addressed during your dog's stay with us.

As part of the standard care, we provide what we believe to be the best pet food available - Hill's Science Plan.

Additional care

In addition to the daily care package your dog will receive, we offer the choice of 1,2,3 or 4 additional care sessions throughout your dog's day. These can be:

A ten-minute walk on the paddock.
A ten-minute off the lead run/play in our secure enclosure.
A ten-minute play session with the toys.
A ten minute cuddle/fuss session.
Ten minutes additional grooming.

Or you can choose a selection of the above.

All of these sessions are one to one with a member of staff. The level of care your dog receives is entirely up to you.

Support

Our experienced team are backed up by our strong relationship with a number of local vets. We prefer to use Armstrong Mobile Vets because they come to us, visiting our premises should we need them. We feel this is much more beneficial to the pets in our care.
